Our 2017 Charities

Regis charity

As we say goodbye to another year, we look back on the charity fundraising that we have been involved in during 2017. At Regis, we recognise the importance of supporting local causes by giving something back to the community. We regularly support charities through sponsorship, monetary donations and prize donations. Many of our team actively take part in varioius fundraising activities to raise awareness of causes close them and to us as a company.

In July last summer, Stevie Gorman set himself the challenge of running the Fort William Marathon to raise money for Action for Children and, despite some injury along the way, almost doubled his fundraising target by raising nearly £1000!

We have continued our committed support to the Children’s Aid Charity along with supporting both the Rangers & Celtic Charity Foundations. This year, we participated in the Rangers Charity Foundation True Blue Hero Fun Run at Ibrox and all of our money raised went to the Rangers Charity Foundation whose charity partners have significant meaning to us. These include; Yorkhill Children’s Hospital, Alzheimer’s Scotland and UNICEF.  In addition to this, we also donated football strips to the Scottish Schools U16 Girls Team to show our support to the young talent involved.

The team at Regis have also donated both prizes and cash to Doddie Weir’s MND Charity, an important cause that supports people affected by MND as well as funding research.

Regis’s golf day earlier this year also raised £5000 for Maggies, a cancer care centre near Glasgow which offers free care and support to people affected by cancer. We are extremely proud to have supported each and every one of these amazing causes and look forward to what 2018 will bring!

Mike Saini, Managing Director of Regis adds

‘I would like to personally thank each and every one of our customers, suppliers and friends throughout the community who have supported Regis since we started 8 years ago. In a couple of weeks, we will be moving in to new purpose-built premises which we hope will allow us to provide even better levels of service to our customers but it has only been made possible thanks to the support we are given by you all on a daily basis – Thank you!’
