We are delighted to have supplied contractor APS Developments on the Greenfaulds High School project which was completed in September 2016 as a replacement to its 40-year-old predecessor.
The new £32million state of the art high school was built by main contractor Morrison Construction for North Lanarkshire Council and is now home to around 1500 pupils. The impressive ‘super school’ features multi-functional rooms, a Gaelic education unit, large social area and dining hall, and an all-weather 8 lane athletics track and field facility.
Frank McNally, Convener of Education, added: “Greenfaulds High School is a great school and it is clear that pupils and staff alike are delighted with their new home. “I wish all the pupils, teachers, support staff and parents the very best in their state-of-the-art new school. “This building will not only serve generations of children in Cumbernauld, it will also become a much-valued community asset for local groups to enjoy in the evenings and weekends.”
The adjacent original Greenfaulds High School building is due to be demolished by spring 2017.
