A couple of weekends ago, we were proud to sponsor the first True Blue Hero Fun Run at Ibrox. It was a great day out and many people took part in what was an amazing fundraising opportunity.
The event, hosted by the Rangers Charity Foundation welcomed over 200 participants, raising more than £30,000 for three fantastic charities.
Team Regis was delighted to be involved in what was a fantastic and extremely successful day of fundraising, not only as the main sponsors for the event, but also as participants. Family and friends offered moral support as our team took part, raising around £300 for the foundation.
With varying distances and events taking place throughout the day, there was something for everyone, from those interested in improving their fitness to others, simply enjoying a fun day out!
Participants ran around both the stadium and the pitch at Ibrox, raising money for Yorkhill Children’s Hospital, Alzeihmers Scotland and UNICEF, all of which are charity partners for the Rangers Charity Foundation this year.
We were delighted that so many people took part in the event and made such a large contribution to the both the community and to three fantastic charitable organisations.
Participants who raised over £100 individually now look forward to an awards ceremony next season, where they will be presented with a True Blue Hero medal from a Rangers first team player.
Since launching in 2002, the Rangers Charity Foundation has raised over £3.5 million in total, raising near £30,000 at this most recent event.
Regis is delighted to have taken part as main sponsor and hope to be involved in the next one!
